October 27, 2006, Newsletter Issue #37: Bextra lawsuits and damages
1
Tip of the Week
All states have statutes of limitations that determine the time period allowed to file a Bextra claim. The applicable statute of limitation, or deadline to file claims, varies from state to state, and the personal injury statute of limitation deadline can be different from the wrongful death statute of limitation deadline within the same state. For example, in some states a personal injury claim must be filed within 3 years from the date the Bextra-related disease or Bextra drug interaction is diagnosed, while a wrongful death claim must be filed within 2 years from the date of a death caused by Bextra. In some states, the statutes of limitations may be as short as 1 year from the date of diagnosis or death. Because of these varying deadlines, you should not delay seeking a law firm to provide legal advice and legal representation when there is a possible Bextra claim involving a Bextra injury or a Bextra death.
